This three part workshop gives students of all ages the opportunity to expand on specific topics and musical experience

Part 1 Brainstorm Exercise

exercise 1

through free form discussion the students take part in crafting topic ideas where they share common themes. they effectively & respectfully learn to decide as a group how to design an original concept that collectively represents all.

Part 2 Form & Arrangement

exercise 2

Once introduced to rhthym & rhyme, the students are guided through the formation of words and music, building towards the craft of original songwriting. Here they are lead through a preview of genres (Rock, pop, country) that might best suite their lyrics.

Part 3 Revision & Performance

exercise 3

The final exercise will highlight the importance of revision, including best practices on giving and receiving feedback. Through this process, students learn how to best execute what they’ve learned to make their final production work for the group.
